Pulmonary tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (TB) is a lung disease caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis symptoms are very varied

The main symptoms of pulmonary TB is more than 4 weeks cough with or without sputum, malaise, flu-like symptoms, low-grade fever, chest pain, and coughing up blood.



Vital sign
  • There is no sign of the typical 
  • Withdrawal signs lungs, diaphragm, and mediastinum.  
  • May be found at the apex of the lung wet rales  
  • weakness  
  • Less weight or underweight

Laboratory tests
  • Photos chest
  • TB germs examination: Sputum, intake larynx, gastric fluid aspiration, bronchoscopy.
  • tuberculin test
  • pleural biopsy
  • Erythrocyte sedimentation rate generally increases

Complication
  • Bone TB
  • Pott's disease (spinal damage)
  • Destroyed lung (pulmonary destruction)
  • pleural effusion
  • miliary tuberculosis
  • TB meningitis

Management
  • Breaks, do not require hospitalization
  • Diet, Free, but High calorie and High protein
  • Anti-TB drugs
Treatment of complications
  • Tuberkulostatika in addition to other measures, such as pleural effusion pleural puncture, surgery on pott's disease.
Prognosis
  • Therapy will heal faster and better legeartis
  • When good durability, can heal itself.
